Rows of purple lavender at Laveanne, Port Hope

July Is Lavender Month

Relax, unwind and let the largest selection of lavender varieties in Canada nurture your senses.

Welcome to Laveanne Lavender.

Throughout the month of July, discover the scents, sights, and tastes of lavender at Laveanne just 20 minutes north of Port Hope. Every July, over 10,000 plants explode into a purple haze. This picturesque lavender farm is complete with a pop-up restaurant (featuring lavender-inspired foods), an apiary, a labyrinth, and a shop full of luxurious body care products. Sabena and her husband Gary were so inspired by the lavender fields of France that they wanted to create a place to enjoy that experience here in Ontario. They now have lavenders in every colour, from white to pinks, blues to violets, and even a rare yellowish green. Learn more about their story by clicking here.

Open 7 days a week (9am-5pm), enjoy a wide variety of workshops and events:

  • Morning Yoga Amongst the Blooms
  • Seminars and Demonstrations about using Lavender in Cooking and Aromatherapy
  • Gourmet Dinner & Jazz
  • Tai Chi Classes
  • Fairy Garden Workshops for Children and Adults
  • Photography Workshops
  • Beekeeping Seminars
  • Plein Air Painting Workshops
  • And don’t forget to check out the shop full of luxurious body care products.
