KN Signature Experience: Kawartha Nordic
SIGNATURE EXPERIENCE
Kawartha Nordic Ski Club
Welcome to Kawartha Nordic
Just 40 minutes north of Peterborough and 2 hours from Toronto lies one of the province’s greatest cross-country ski experiences. Enjoy over 60 km of classic skiing trail and nearly 30 km of skate skiing trail, as well as 14 km of snowshoeing trail, 7 km of fat biking trail, and a 2 km night skiing loop.
Many of the trails are mechanically groomed to offer the smoothest possible glide, with some backcountry opportunities also available for advancer skiiers. Explore the rugged landscape of the Canadian Shield, then warm up at one of several cozy cabins.
Stay and Play
The Burleigh Bundle just might be the most coziest way to experience Kawartha Nordic of all. The package includes two nights’ stay at beautiful Burleigh Falls Inn, with included breakfast and a full dinner on the second night of your stay, as well as a day pass for two to Kawartha Nordic. Since Burleigh Falls Inn is only ten minutes away from the ski club, you’ll maximize your time on the trail as well as your post-ski comfort. Read more about nearby accommodations and events here.
Even if you’re only visiting for the day, the Kawartha Nordic rental shop offers snowshoes, classic skis, skate ski equipment, and fat bikes for rental. Rent a complete gear package, or order poles, boots, or a pulk for young children à la carte.
Full day, evening, and season passes are available—get full details on rates here.
Kawartha Nordic is open daily during the snow season. Check the website for more info on lessons and racing opportunities.
