Peterborough’s Gallery in the Attic is a member-supported space for the sale of local artists’ work. They host several themed exhibitions throughout the year as well as member shows. The space is multi-functional and interdisciplinary. They can host workshops, musical events, exhibitions and photography classes.
The Gallery in the Attic is also home to the longest continuously operating darkroom in Canada! It is a legacy they are trying to preserve through the Peterborough Darkroom Project. Every couple months, they offer a “newbie night” for those wanting to learn how to process film – keep your eye on our social media to find out details about the next event! For a yearly $50 fee, you can join the Darkroom Project, which allows you to use the space on your own. If you’re just curious about the space, you can always visit during gallery hours to take a tour.
Last but certainly not least, Gallery in the Attic and the Darkroom Project sells FILM!
