Owner Melinda Richter came to Peterborough, Ontario as an art appraiser and wanted to have a space to feature local artists’ work. Curated is home to art, antiques, vintage & handmade pieces as well as host to workshops & classes. Examples of workshops include “Stained Glass Watercolour,” “Beginners Knitting” & “Bookbinding” classes.

The Publican House Brewery is a craft brewery in Peterborough, Ontario. Using traditional brewing practises and absolutely no shortcuts, Publican House produces 2 beers available all year round as well as 4 seasonal choices. Visit the brewery for a tasting and pick up cans, kegs or growlers of beer.
In collaboration with Smithaven’s Brewing Company, Publican House organized the first Kawartha Craft Beer Festival in 2015. The event was a massive success and an even bigger festival is planned for 2016 with 10 beer vendors, 1 cider vendor, food and live entertainment. Elmhirst’s Resort is a family owned and operated cottage resort on the north shore of Rice Lake in the Kawarthas. South Pond Farms workshops focus on eating in season and using local ingredients. Workshops are scheduled year round but can also be arranged privately. Say “Chef Z” to any Northumberland County resident and watch their eyes light up. Chef Z has been creating clean, healthy & nutritionally dense meals and desserts in Cobourg & Port Hope for almost a decade. Classes are held at Harden & Huyse and are shared on their facebook page.

The Nigerian Dwarf Goats of Haute Goat are arguably some of the cutest goats in the whole world! Using their high-fat milk, owners Debbie and Shain are creating luxurious and whimsical goat milk body products like hand cream and soap. For those of you with a sweet tooth, they also use the goat milk to make delicious treats like fudge, caramel and chocolate. Beachwood Resort is located in the heart of Kawartha Lakes on Lower Buckhorn Lake, just north of Peterborough, Ontario, and has been family owned and operated for over 75 years.
