Learn about Canada’s history through the canoe at the Canadian Canoe Museum in Peterborough, Ontario!
The museum’s collection began when Camp Kandalore’s Kirk Whipper began collecting canoes. He eventually amassed a collection that moved to Peterborough in 1997 and became the Canadian Canoe Museum. This interactive, family-friendly museum offers tours, workshops & events all year round. Examples of workshops include paddle carving, moccasins, beading and leather book binding.
